About the Author
Patrik Illo is a glass designer whose work combines respect for craft and experimentation, the design of mass-produced products and the creation of unique glass artefacts. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava and study stays in the UK, France and Italy. He specializes in product design for leading European manufacturers of utility glassware and is dedicated to experimental design and curatorial activities. Since 2010 he has been the head of the Glass Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava. His works are often on the borderline between art and design.
