About the author
Rony Plesl (*1965) is a leading Czech glass artist, head of the Glass Studio at the Academy of Arts and Crafts in Prague. He has been cooperating with the German concern Sahm for a long time, and since 2017 he has also been the creative director of the Rückl brand, for which he has designed, among other things, the Czech Lion statue. Recently, he has been focusing mainly on his free work. At the Design Festival 2019 in London's Victoria and Albert Museum, he presented a unique uranium sculpture called Sacred Geometry. His love of Italy and art history go hand in hand with his interest in glass as a material, its structure, visual qualities and the epic stories it contains.
