"Physical fragility. Delicacy. Vulnerability. Rounded shape and white colour. The play of light. Lightness. Purity. Transcendence. The mystery of life and death. Peace and serenity. Contrasts of small and large volumes, inner and outer spaces." Nina A. Šošková connects her porcelain collection BUBLINS / BUBBLES (Hommage à Mária Bartuszová), which refers to the work of the Slovak sculptor Mária Bartuszová (1936-1996), a representative of the organic line in Slovak sculpture of the second half of the 20th century, with these concepts. Nina A. Šošková creates a combination of objects and product design in her honour. She combines site-specific installations at the interface of sculpture and architecture in public space with small objects made of porcelain (the collection you are currently viewing).
Using delicate, clean, white organic shapes, she creates fragile volumes and the impression of a melting mass. (Text: Mária Beňačková Rišková)
Material and technique: porcelain, casting in plaster moulds, lyster-pearl, firing at 1240 °C.
