The Dunes glass collection is inspired by sand dunes, which are projected on the inside of the glass objects, while their outer form has a precise shape. When the volume of the glasses is filled with liquid, the dunes completely disappear and only their outer silhouette remains visible.
All shapes - the tall glass, the low glass, the decanter and both vases are available in clear, storm grey and red sand.
About the brand
Monotropa is a Prague-based design studio and brand that draws inspiration from the local visual palette, creating oases of well-being and promoting a slow and conscious lifestyle. It emphasises natural or reused materials, quality craftsmanship and simple expressive forms.
The name was inspired by the white non-photosynthetic wildflower Monotropa Uniflora, also known as the ghost plant, which extracts energy from green photosynthetic plants with the help of some fungi that live in symbiosis with trees.
The Monotropa Uniflora is a parallel to the creation of design, as the artists draw inspiration from the infinite source of images around us. The seed of an idea often comes from elsewhere, consciously or unconsciously.
