Ring mini ball ruthenium
ABOUT THE PRODUCT
design: Michaela Gorcová
Material: stainless steel
The Mini Half-Ball ring is made of stainless steel springs that are wound together by hand, just like when a key is attached to a ring.
Each spring has a diameter of 3 mm. The half ball is threaded through the ring in two places. The ring ring is made of 2 mm stainless steel wire.
Size of the half bead: 1 x 0,5 cm
The electroplating and comaxing adds colour variations and a touch of exclusivity to the jewellery.
ABOUT THE COLLECTION
The Springs collection was created after a long period of thinking and testing the system of twisting the links together, like attaching a key to a ring.
The spring is a link, part of more complex structures. I developed the technique of coiled spring patterns.
They can be used to make a simple chain, a ball, or elaborate ornaments.
About the author
Michaela Gorcová has been designing and making jewellery since 1996, while studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in the Metal and Jewellery Studio under Prof. K. V. Novák. In her work she is inspired by nature, especially the dappled world: the structure of leaves, flowers or butterfly wings. He works mainly with stainless steel, but is not afraid of any technique. First, an idea has to come to him, which crystallizes over a long period of time. Then he tries to chic it up into the most perfect form with respect to the jewel. He goes beyond the traditional techniques of jewellery making and is not afraid to go beyond their limits.
