Material: stainless steel
The ring is made of stainless steel springs, which are wound together by hand, just like a key is attached to a ring.
Each spring has a diameter of 5mm.
Height of the ring: 0,5 cm
ABOUT THE COLLECTION
The Springs collection was created after a long period of thinking and testing the system of twisting the links together like a key is attached to a ring.
The spring is a link, part of more complex structures. I developed the technique of coiled spring patterns.
They can be used to make a simple chain, a ball, or elaborate ornaments.
About the author
Michaela Gorcová has been designing and making jewellery since 1996, while studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in the Metal and Jewellery Studio under Prof. K. V. Novák. In her work she is inspired by nature, especially the dappled world: the structure of leaves, flowers or butterfly wings. He works mainly with stainless steel, but is not afraid of any technique. First, an idea has to come to him, which crystallizes over a long period of time. Then he tries to chic it up into the most perfect form with respect to the jewel. He goes beyond the traditional techniques of jewellery making and is not afraid to go beyond their limits.
