This large-format publication was produced on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Designblok festival and the Designblok Cosmos travelling exhibition. The book Designblok Cosmos offers original interviews with ten exhibiting artists alongside original images by leading Czech photographer Václav Jirásek.
A travelling symbol of Czech intellectual and technological wealth, a showcase of contemporary Czech design and a mobile outdoor capsule that houses unique glass works by ten top designers. The objects artfully work with luminescence and represent not only the authors' free approach to creation and material, but also completely different production technologies, traditions, know-how of Czech factories and manufactories, craftsmanship and the latest approaches and experiments. The curatorial selection by Jana Zielinski and Jiří Macek presents designers who are strongly connected with Designblok - Jakub Berdych Karpelis, DECHEM studio, Lucie Koldová, Václav Mlynář, Lukáš Novák, Jiří Pekl, Rony Plesl, Tadeáš Podracký, Maxim Velčovský and Jan Plecháč, who is also the author of an innovative architectural solution.
