ABOUT THE PRODUCT
The Tatra 87 toy is a higher class car produced by the Czechoslovak Tatra car factory between 1937 and 1950. It is a luxury aerodynamic car. The Tatra 87 proved its quality in 1947-1950, when Jiri Hanzelka and Miroslav Zikmund travelled to Africa and South America in this silver-coloured car. According to the American newspaper The New Yoork Times, it is the 2010 Collector Car of the Year, having beaten strong competition from 651 cars.
The drive is provided by a spring-loaded machine pulled by a key. A special mechanism prevents the moving toy from falling off the table top. When the toy reaches the edge of the table, it turns and continues driving.
