ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Jakub Berdych Sr. is a glass artist, artist, restorer and teacher. After several years of working at UMPRUM in Prague, he works as a freelance artist. He has gained attention not only as a sought-after restorer of historical interiors, but also as a designer and glass artist. He deals mainly with the theme "What will be left of us?" and utilitarian glass. Since 2003 he has been a teacher at the Department of Design at the Technical University in Liberec. His works are often unrepeatable solitaires and balance on the edge of art and design.
