ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Markéta Kratochvílová is a jewellery designer, winner of the Czech Grand Design Awards, Jewellery of the Year 2016 and Talent of the Year 2014. Her work explores the relationship between the body and the form of objects. She considers the relationship between the body and jewellery to be an important partnership that both represents and influences the personality of the wearer. She is interested in the ambivalence of natural and man-made forms, the story of the hidden intimate self in contrast with provocatively expressive ornament. Her work returns to a clear, modernist expression, creating a system of elements that are already characteristic of her. In 2017, she founded Bold Studio, a jewelry and experimental design brand.
