Beach Artifacts earrings are made of gold plated silver
Size S: approx. 1,3 x 1,3 cm.
Beach Artifacts jewellery was created for the fashion collection Oficina Playa by designer Natalia Nepovímová.
The aesthetic of the collection is based on the concept of beach artifacts - often unidentifiable washes from the sea that we find on land. The jewellery uses a principle developed by the artist of layering thin sheets that together create complex structures.
Each piece of jewellery is a unique original, just like the sea washings. The creative connection between the two designers, like the concept of the collection, was born in Mallorca.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Ondřej Stára graduated in biomedical engineering at the Czech Technical University and subsequently studied at the K.O.V. Studio under the guidance of Eva Eisler at UMPRUM. For his jewellery collections he received a nomination for the Czech Grand Design 2018 award in the Jewellery Designer category. He makes his jewellery by hand in small batches with attention to detail and quality. He also works on commission.
