ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Designer, visual artist, interior architect and woodturner Antonín Hepnar is one of the most significant figures of applied art in the second half of the twentieth century. In 1953 Hepnar graduated from the Prague Secondary School of Arts and Crafts in the studio of Professor Václav Markup. Since then, he has been working with wood in all its forms, from applied and free objects and lighting fixtures to interior work and restoration. He is a member of the Association of Interior Architects and holds a diploma of Master of Artistic Craft.
